Student wildlife art from across North Dakota is now on display in Valley City.
The Barnes County Museum is hosting the North Dakota Junior Duck Stamp Art Exhibit through June 30th.
The exhibit features award-winning artwork from the state Junior Duck Stamp competition, which uses art to teach students about wetlands, waterfowl and conservation.
This year, 917 entries were judged statewide.
The Best of Show winner was Gabe Coleman, a 16-year-old from Baldwin, with artwork featuring a pair of blue-winged teal. The state conservation message winner was Brandi Agnew, a seventh grader from Menoken, with the message, “Protect the prairie; preserve the hunt.”
