Summer mosquito fogging is beginning tonight in Jamestown.
The city’s Vector Control & Street Department will be working in the northeast areas of the city tonight. They will continue to fog as time permits in the southeast and southwest parts of town. That work will then continue tomorrow until completed.
Wind and rain could interrupt fogging according to forecasts, which may force the work to continue later into the week.
Jamestown officials say that children and pets should be kept off the streets and away from fogging machines during all times of fogging. Particles could linger after crews complete work, so it’s not advised to immediately return to outdoor activities.
Motorists are also advised to remain away from fogging crews, with patrols monitoring the areas for safety.
