The North Dakota State Board of Higher Education has named Lisa Karch interim president of the North Dakota State College of Science.
Karch will assume the role on July 1. She previously served as NDSCS executive vice president of academic affairs.
Current President Rod Flanigan announced earlier this month that he plans to retire at the end of the year. The board voted to place Flanigan on paid administrative leave until then beginning in July.
The board also voted to have University System Commissioner Brent Sanford and Board Chair Kevin Black negotiate Karch’s contract.
