The first full moon of the summer was visible over Vienna on Monday evening.
First appearing at dawn around 21:30 Central European Time, the so-called ‘Strawberry Moon’ drew spectators on Vienna’s Kahlenberg, the highest vantage point of the city.
Its name comes from several Indigenous tribes who noticed that its timing coincided with the strawberry harvest.
