The Ellendale Opera House fund drive has reached $42,000.
O.P.E.R.A., the nonprofit that owns and operates the historic building, is trying to raise $130,000 this year to continue restoration work and return more of the Opera House to community use.
This year’s “Stepping Up” campaign includes matching money for new donors, along with past donors who increase their gift from last year. Anonymous supporters have pledged up to $40,000 for those match programs.
Renovation work continues on the Annex and former Coleman store spaces, along with Main Street storefront restoration.
