Valley City Commission Considers Development Funding Agreement Tuesday

Valley City commissioners will consider a new development funding agreement and changes to city purchasing rules during meetings today.

The commission’s finance meeting begins at 2:30 p.m. Agenda items include a presentation on the Police Department’s hostage-negotiation team, possible changes to the golf course alcohol license and street reconstruction near Legacy Townhomes.

Commissioners will also discuss designating several city-owned parcels as native land.

The regular commission meeting starts at 5 p.m. The commission will consider a sales-tax funding agreement with the Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation for the 2027 fiscal year.

Both meetings will be held at Valley City Hall and can be streamed online through the city’s website.
