- New York Jets Quarterback Injured on the Practice Field
Quarterback Justin Fields is trying to start over again with a new team after his one year stint in Pittsburgh ended. Fields finds himself in New York trying to become the main signal caller for the Jets, but that quest hit a snag early Thursday morning, when Fields who was practicing a play rolling out to the right, he pulled up and sat down briefly and eventually limped to the medical tent, after a couple minutes Fields was carted to the locker room. The injury is reported to be a TOE injury, and the severity is still yet to be determined.
2. Green Bay Throws is back to the 20’s
The Green Bay Packers revealed some new throwback uniforms that threw it back to the youthful days of the Packers. The Jersey features dark navy blue color with golden yellow number and stripes. And the new helmet will be a first ever in NFL History. The helmet will feature a hand painted leather look, similar to old days of when teams wore ‘leather-heads’. The Uniform pays homage to the 1923 Acme Packers and the team has not announced when they will debut it on the Game-Day Field.
3. Cincinnati to Play Starters in Preseason
One move that could gain popularity. Head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals Zac Taylor has stated the starters for the Cincinnati Bengals will play more in the preseason than they ever have before. This is to combat the Bengals’ consistent pattern of starting the regular season slow and then finding their footing late in the season when it was too late. This could be a trend to gain steam in the NFL with multiple teams having experienced the same result. Can the Bengals and other teams balance the amount of plays to get the teams ready for the regular season and not risk a major injury? Its a gamble that could pay off in the end, especially in the case for the Bengals who were a couple of early losses away from making the playoffs in 2024.
4. Miami Lineman in Hospital
Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Bayron Matos was transported to a hospital by helicopter on Wednesday, and its reported as of this morning he has movement in all of his extremities, and is under doctor observation. There was no report of what the injury was or what caused the injury.
