Ryan King’s High School Football Games of the Week! (Week 7)

By Seth Dunlap Oct 10, 2025 | 7:39 AM

We slacked around a little bit last week and weren’t able to get you the games for Week 6. Good coaches always take the blame from what happens week to week in a game, and so does the coach of this article. We looked at the film, made a couple changes to the gameplan and we are back this week, lets take a look at some of the best high school football games in the state of North Dakota!

We have some good matchups in AA this week as well as a potential game of the week in 9 man, depending on the team you ask. Lets get into it.

AAA –

#3 Bismarck Legacy @ Bismarck High

  • Bismarck, like a couple of teams in Class AAA this season has floated in an out of the Top 5 throughout this season, recently getting booted after a loss to Fargo Davies a couple weeks ago. The Demons will welcome the Sabers who have the #3 spot this week with a chance to vault back into the rankings with a win. Its not a big road trip, but the winner of this game will keep a spot in the state by the way the classification is looking this year.

AA –

#2 Kindred @ #3 Grand Forks Central

  • Here we go! Kindred has passed every test with flying colors so far this year in their debut in the new classification. But this time they will play a team that can definitely punch them back. Both teams have been making short work of their opponents this year, and will meet in Grand Forks for a right at the #2 spot in the state, or depending on the results this week, #1. Minot North will also play Top 5 ranked Devils Lake this week, and pending a big upset the winner of this game could be the new #1 in AA.

A –

#1 Langdon Area-Munich @ Park River Area

  • Another clash, Langdon Area-Munich has been rolling through the Class A season this year, and Park River Area has emerged as another team you don’t want to be in their way on a Friday night. Langdon will have a good road test to see if they really are the favorite for a championship in the classification. Park River with a win, would continue one of their best starts in recent memory and would have the attention of a lot of eyes with a win. Could this be an early playoff preview?

9-man –

#5 Divide County @ #4 Alexander

  • ANOTHER CLASH. Both these teams came out of nowhere to take the 4 and 5 spots in the rankings and have been playing like juggernauts these last couple of weeks similar to Linton, Lamoure, and New Rockford. This week the two will meet up in Alexander and the #4 spot will be up for grabs with potentially the #3 spot in the state open too. Linton-HMB will play an up and coming Kidder County team who has impressed the last couple of weeks. If the Wolves can knock off the Lions, then the winner of this game would presumably take the #3 spot, but both will have to worry about this game first before anyone needs to worry about scoreboard watching.

Speaking of scoreboard watching, can’t make it to a game this Friday? Make sure to tune in to the Prep Sports Roundup from 7-10 on Legendary KSJB 600 AM and 100.1 FM. We have LIVE in game reporters stationed at some of the weeks biggest games, and also feature our state wide scoreboard at the end of every hour. Everything that you will need to know in North Dakota high school football!
