Farm Rescue has named Shari Rogge-Fidler as its new executive director.

Rogge-Fidler is a fifth-generation farm owner and operator from Nebraska. Rogge-Fidler most recently served as president and CEO of Farm Foundation, and has worked across production agriculture, agribusiness, food systems, finance and nonprofit leadership.

Farm Rescue founder and president Bill Gross says Rogge-Fidler brings agricultural experience and leadership as the organization looks to expand partnerships and support.

Farm Rescue was founded in 2005 and is based in the Fargo suburb of Horace. The nonprofit provides free planting, haying, harvesting, commodity hauling and livestock feeding assistance to farm and ranch families facing major illness, injury, natural disaster or other hardships. The group says it has farmers and families across 11 states.
