Kenmare Police say they’ve arrested a Minot man in a child sex crime investigation.
The Dakota News Network reports the case involves a 38-year-old man accused of meeting a minor at a Kenmare motel after the two had communicated through a social media app.
According to Kenmare Police Chief Tyler Rispa, the victim told investigators the man met them at the motel for sex. Rispa also reported speaking with motel staff and reviewing the location as part of the investigation.
The suspect was later contacted at an apartment in northwest Minot on Wednesday.
The man has not been named publicly yet because formal charges and pleas. He is expected to make an initial court appearance Friday.
