The 18-year-old Jamestown woman killed in a Sunday car accident has been identified, and a memorial event planned in her honor.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Bella Huebner was killed after her car overturned on a gravel road in Kidder County on Sunday evening.   Huebner reportedly lost control of her vehicle while navigating a turn on 44th Avenue Southeast about two miles west of Pettibone.

Huebner was a rodeo cowgirl and enthusiast, participating in many events throughout the region during her life.   Family and friends have planned a Memorial Barrel Race in August in her honor.   They say that barrel racing was her favorite event.

The event will be held in Edgeley on August 9 at the Triple R Couteau Arena.  Organizers are asking for donations and sponsorships of the event, with more information to be released in the coming weeks.
