President Trump Visits Medora Today For Roosevelt Library Dedication

Jul 1, 2026 | 5:53 AM

President Donald Trump is scheduled to be in Medora today for the dedication of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.  The events begin at 11 a.m. Mountain Time, or noon Central, at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre.

Governor Kelly Armstrong is scheduled to welcome the President. Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao and U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum are also expected to speak before Trump’s remarks.

The visit comes ahead of the library’s public opening on Saturday, July 4 as part of America’s 250th birthday celebrations. The Medora festivities continue through the holiday weekend with events tied to the library opening and the nation’s anniversary.

Red River Farm Network will have live coverage of Trump’s visit today on KSJB Radio, and online at KSJBam.com.

Anyone traveling to Medora should expect delays. The North Dakota Department of Transportation and State Patrol say significant traffic impacts are expected today, including temporary road closures and additional restrictions tied to the presidential visit.

Visitors are encouraged to use free parking and shuttle service from Exit 36 near Fryburg. Traffic entering Medora may also use Exit 24 on Interstate 94. Exit 27 is reserved for shuttles and emergency vehicles entering town.
