A leadership change takes effect today at Jamestown Public Schools. Adam Gehlhar is now serving as interim superintendent for the 2026-27 year.
The school board approved a 12-month interim contract for Gehlhar during a special meeting in May. The contract employs Gelhar through June 30, 2027 with a salary of $184,000.
Gehlhar is already a familiar name in the district. He has served as Jamestown High School principal, CTE director, and Continuous Improvement Director. He’s also the director of the James Valley Career and Technology Center.
The move follows the resignation of Dr. Robert Lech.
