Online registration is closed for Jamestown Public Schools as they prepare a new system for the upcoming school year.
The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction moved schools from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus effective July first. The old system used by parents and guardians is being replaced by Infinite Campus for student information and registration.
JPS says registration for the 2026-27 school year is temporarily closed during the switch and will reopen later July once the new system is in place. Officials say software is being upgraded across the state and staff is being trained on its use.
Families who still need to register a student for this fall should contact the district office by phone at 701-252-1950.
Or you can register in person. The district registration office is at 207 Second Avenue Southeast. Summer hours are 7:30 to 4:30 Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 to 1:30 Fridays.
JPS says registration is open throughout the school year for new and returning students. Families should be ready to provide immunization records, a certified birth certificate, custody paperwork if it applies, and school records or transcripts for older students.
Kindergarten students must turn five by August first to register for the fall term.
The district does not have an official preschool program.
The first day of school for Jamestown students is Thursday, August 20th.
