North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong

from the North Dakota Monitor reports that Governor Kelly Armstrong cast his early ballot in Bismarck on Monday. He commented on feeling optimistic for the success of North Dakota Republicans, but anticipated Republicans will experience a tougher environment nationally.

Armstrong voted at the Bismarck Event Center, and spoke on the strength of state lawmakers, but noted that national Republicans could face difficult questions after Tuesday’s midterms. He has offered support for Measure 1, which requires a 60% voter threshold to amend the state constitution, and was in opposition to Measure 2, which would mandate free public school meals.
