NDDOT Roadside Mowing Begins Soon Along North Dakota Highways

Jun 3, 2026 | 6:32 AM

Motorists in North Dakota will see crews mowing along state highways this month.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation says crews are mowing a seven to 10 foot clearance along highway shoulders throughout the month.  Severe weather could delay some work until early July.

Some mowing may happen sooner at intersections and in urban areas.

Drivers should watch for mowing equipment near state highways and give crews room to work.

This mowing is happening on state highway right-of-ways maintained by NDDOT.  The interstates, county roads, and city streets follow different schedules.
