Jun 5, 2026 | 3:12 PM

North Dakota’s annual Quit Week begins Sunday.

North Dakota Health and Human Services says the campaign runs June 7th through June 13th, encouraging people who smoke, vape, chew or use nicotine pouches to use the week as a starting point to quit.

This is the seventh year for Quit Week in North Dakota. Tobacco Free North Dakota and state health partners are promoting treatment resources.

That includes NDQuits, which offers personalized coaching and nicotine replacement therapy for people trying to stop using tobacco or nicotine products. Qualified enrollees may receive free nicotine patches, gum or lozenges.

The state says NDQuits serves nearly 2,000 North Dakotans each year. HHS says more than one-third of former tobacco users assisted by the program are still tobacco-free seven months after completing it.

People can connect with NDQuits online or by calling 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
