The North Dakota Mill and Elevator has new leader.

The North Dakota Industrial Commission appointed Cathy Dub on Friday, June 19, as president and CEO of the state-owned mill in Grand Forks.

Dub has worked at the mill since 2014. She started as controller and has served as chief financial officer since 2020.

She will replace Vance Taylor, who is retiring after 26 years as president and CEO.

The Industrial Commission said in a statement Dub brings a strong understanding of the mill’s mission, operations, suppliers, customers and finances.

The North Dakota Mill and Elevator is self-funded and is the only state-owned milling operation of its kind in the United States. It processes about 40 million bushels of North Dakota spring wheat and durum each year.

The Industrial Commission is made up of Governor Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring.
