State lawmakers are gearing up for their first foray into the regulatory future of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure with North Dakota’s newly formed AI and Data Center Committee, according to Jacob Orledge of the North Dakota Monitor. The committee has released the agenda for its inagural meeting, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. this Wednesday in Bismarck. The group is chaired by Casselton Republican Representative Jonathan Warrey. It will study federal and state regulations, AI usage in North Dakota agencies, and the immense power demands data centers place on the energy sector.
The meeting includes a public comment period at 11:15 a.m. and will be livestreamed on theĀ legislative website.
