Jul 20, 2026 | 12:28 PM

Jamestown children can meet first responders, explore emergency vehicles and test their bicycle skills during Kids’ Safety Day this week.

The free event runs from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Jamestown Civic Center. It is open to children through age 12 and their caregivers.

Local first responders, educators and health professionals will offer hands-on activities, safety demonstrations and educational booths.

Jamestown Parks and Recreation will also lead a bike rodeo. Children taking part must wear a helmet. Families can bring a helmet from home for a professional fitting, and Central Valley Health District will have a limited number of free helmets available.

The first 300 people attending will also receive free swag bags.

Kids’ Safety Day is organized by the Community Health Partnership and Central Valley Health District.
