A decision over permanent electric service for an Applied Digital workforce camp near Ellendale has reached the public hearing request deadline.
Montana-Dakota Utilities is asking the North Dakota Public Service Commission for permission to serve the site in Dickey County. The company proposes installing about 265 feet of underground electrical service.
The PSC previously granted MDU temporary authority. The new application would make that authority permanent.
Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative has told the commission it will not challenge the request.
Anyone seeking a formal hearing in the case must submit that request by 5 p.m. Monday. The case is listed as PU-26-173 on the Public Service Commission’s website.
Applied Digital requested service for the camp this summer as construction continues around its Ellendale data center campus.
