A small amphibious plane overturned during a water landing in central Minnesota Sunday morning.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office says the aircraft came down on Pelican Lake near Nisswa at about 10:30 a.m.
Officials say witnesses reported the plane’s landing gear appeared to be down when it touched the water. The aircraft reportedly tipped forward and came to rest upside down.
Everyone aboard escaped without injury according to law enforcement. Authorities have not released the number of occupants or identified the pilot.
The cause remains under investigation.
