Passenger traffic climbed sharply at Jamestown Regional Airport in June, even as statewide boardings slipped.
The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission says 1,169 passengers boarded flights in Jamestown, up from 911 one year earlier. The total was just shy of the airport’s best June in the past decade.
The report was mixed at the state’s larger airports. Fargo set a June record with nearly 51,000 boardings. Bismarck recorded about 24,000, down 6%. Grand Forks had roughly 4,500, a drop of nearly one-third.
June boardings declined about 2% across North Dakota’s eight commercial airports. The commission says that despite the weak June report statewide, the first half of 2026 was the second busiest on record in North Dakota.
