A public hearing will be held May 18 in Glen Ullin on a proposed wind farm in Morton County.
The North Dakota Public Service Commission says the hearing will begin at 10 a.m. at the Glen Ullin City Auditorium and will cover Minnesota Power’s proposed Longspur Wind Project and a related transmission line.
The PSC says the wind project would allow up to 45 turbines and up to 202.5 megawatts of generation in Morton County. A separate permit request covers an approximately 2.5-mile, 230-kilovolt transmission line in Morton and Mercer counties that would connect the project to Minnesota Power’s Tri-County Substation in Mercer County.
Minnesota Power says the projects in question would cover about 26,000 total acres.
