Jul 20, 2026 | 7:45 AM

Jamestown’s School Board and City Council committees have meetings scheduled over the next two days.

The School Board meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the Thompson Community Room at Jamestown Middle School. The meeting will also be streamed online.

City committees meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. The Finance and Legal Committee is scheduled to discuss a city sales tax and possible talks with the Jamestown Parks and Recreation District about how sales-tax money could be used in the future.  Other items include selecting a real estate brokerage to market city-owned surplus property and setting Sept. 8 as the public hearing date for Jamestown’s proposed 2027 budget.

The committee will also revisit a request to reserve unused money allocated to Frontier Village for future projects. The Civic Center Committee will consider a new signage and advertising policy and rate schedule.
